Standard registration deadline
Tuesday, October 6, 2026Last day to register by mail or in person at your county election office. You can still register or update online at RegistertoVote.NV.gov through Tuesday, October 20, 2026 and get a mail ballot. Nevada also has same-day registration at early voting sites, at Election Day vote centers, and online from Wednesday, October 21, 2026, but then you must vote in person and bring a valid Nevada driver's license or ID card.
Saturday, October 17 to Friday, October 30, 2026Vote in person at an early voting site in your county, even if you received a mail ballot. Sites, days, and hours vary by county, and you can register or update your registration on the spot.
Tuesday, November 3, 2026Your mailed ballot must be postmarked on or before Election Day and received by 5 p.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2026. You can instead drop it at a ballot drop box or voting site by 7 p.m. on Election Day. The Secretary of State suggests mailing it at least a week early.

Every paid political ad is labeled "Paid political advertisement" and carries the buyer's "Paid for by" line. Campaigns and committees from any side can buy one at the same published rates, and that includes people I've criticized.
I can turn down an ad that's false or hateful, or one made to look like an official election notice. Each political ad I accept goes in the public ledger below with the buyer, the committee or FEC ID, the amount and the run dates.
